Partnering to eliminate parasitic disease

 

We partner with ministries of health across Africa to move towards the elimination schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiasis. Through collaboration on mass drug administration monitoring and evaluation surveys, and the use of innovative mapping techniques, we can gather vital data on disease spread, track progress towards elimination, and ensure treatment reaches those who need it most.

World Health Organization formally adopts One Health as part of Pandemic Agreement

On Tuesday, 20 May, after three long years of negotiation, the World Health Organization (WHO) formally adopted the Pandemic Agreement at the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, making it only the second agreement to be adopted in the WHO’s history.
